The Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce (SCCC, www.swissbiz.ca) is a not-for-profit organization based in Toronto that promotes and supports Swiss businesses in the Greater Toronto Area through networking and education. Founded almost 45 years ago by Swiss businessmen who had recently moved to Canada, the SCCC collaborates closely with the official Swiss representations in Canada, namely the Consulate General and the Swiss Business Hub in Montreal as well as the Swiss Embassy in Ottawa. Mesh has been providing web development services to the Chamber since 2005 and has worked collaboratively with its executive committee to develop a membership management platform that allows Chamber staff to effectively communicate with its stakeholders.
The public-facing website is a platform where the SCCC can promote its events and publication, and keep its members current on important information and happenings. It also serves as a promotional tool to attract new members.
Created to be user-friendly and easily maintained in-house, the administrative back end allows Chamber staff to easily manage and highlight events, including membership sign-ups, event registrations, payment and invoicing. The site also serves as a key communication hub offering email blast functionality as well as newsletter publication and distribution. What’s more, Chamber members are afforded a password-protected area on the website where they can manage their own profiles making it a convenient one-stop management tool
The SCCC website was relaunched in 2019 and has provided the Chamber with additional exposure and the ability to better engage with its constituents through a more modern look and feel and a more user-friendly online experience.
